When I log-in to Gnome, the following error message is presented.  

Aplication "panel"(process 9816) has crashed due to a fatal error. 
(segmentation fault)

No application panel is available/shown at the bottom of the screen.  Thus I am unable to browse the application menu or even logout.

>How-To-Repeat:
Just logging into x-windows using Gnome.

Please try gnome-libs-1.4.1.4 and gnome-core-1.4.0.6 or newer and let
us know if this has been fixed in these packages.
