Description Josh 2017-01-09 21:27:27 UTC
Evince is practically unusable with the auto-scroll feature. When the mouse goes off the top or bottom of the window, it slowly scrolls the document. I cant find a way to turn this off.

It would be ok if it only happened when the document is in focus, however it happens when I am using another application. This is a problem, because I cannot use evince to have a pdf document open as a reference, and my work in a different window, without evince scrolling. This is an app breaking feature/bug whatever it is.

I suggest two things: Make it simple and obvious to disable, or make it so it does not scroll when not in focus.

Strange.

Pressing left-click on the document stops it. Also, auto-scroll is enable by using the contextual menu (right-click), if you try it again, it will disable it, too.

If I change the focus from Evince to, say, Firefox, Evince stops the auto-scroll. That is different that moving the mouse of the window, while the focus is still on Evince.

May you provide precise instructions on how to reproduce the issue?
