i use system without xwayland, but with weston. and i want use gnome-shell but if i begin install this i see in strong addiction x system packages. i install for example and very good see, use command gnome-shell in console and get very good desktop no use lightdm or gdm becouse x system addiction, but more i remove gnome-shell becouse is use xwayland and my system no very good work. i use weston is no use xwayland and i get very good, fast system.

now question. you can remove strong addiction x system from gnome-shell and gnome-shell show good work with wayland?

or you want do it with gnome-shell?

Unfortunately no, gnome-shell requires mutter who still needs X even with Wayland, thus its dependency on Xwayland.
