Description Vilius Normantas 2016-12-05 10:36:21 UTC
Options to add major and minor grid to X axis are missing from "Add" menu in the chart editor.

To reproduce:
  1. Create a new chart of Line type from a column with some numbers
  2. Double-click the chart to open "Customise Chart" window
  3. Select "X-Axis1" from the list
  4. Click "Add"
-- Elements "MajorGrid to X-Axis1" and "MinorGrid to X-Axis1" are not displayed.

Both grids works fine on Y axis.
Also, x-axis grids are appear ok on previously created charts.

(Btw, I was unable to make a screenshot while the "Add" menu was expanded, which probably is another bug, but I'm too lazy to report it)

This is not a bug. For column plots, the X-axis is discrete and no grid can be added to discrete axes.

But it used to work. I have some older charts with grids on x-axes. I'm just unable to create new ones.

OK you are right, it's my bad. I'll fix.

This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Once that release is available, you may want to check for a software upgrade provided by your Linux distribution.
