After last update to 2.9.5 any attempt to use the tool of transformation (Rotate, Scale, Shear or Unified Transform) is doomed to failure: even if I do not change the size of the selected area, and just click "Apply" button, the image in the selected area disappears.

Bug is repeated on two systems: xubuntu 14.04 and xubuntu 16.04 (both 64-bit).

Sorry, version 2.9.5 is not listed, so I chose the 2.9.4.
