Description Andrew Esh 2016-11-21 17:07:39 UTC
We ported a modified smoke codec from gstreamer 0.10 to 1.0. It builds, and has been tested within our system. We tried to use the existing smoke codec, but it seemed to be unmaintained. This patch should be used with caution.

Update smoke codec to build and run in gstreamer 1.0

If anything this should be added directly to gst-plugins-good. But I'm not sure it makes sense, it's a codec that is not used anywhere AFAIK, it's unmaintained.

Also it should use the GstVideoDecoder/Encoder base classes, independent of all that.
Comment 3 Andrew Esh 2016-11-21 18:17:24 UTC
I agree Sebastian. This patch is probably undesirable. The only good quality it has is that it works in my case, and it may serve as a counter-example to others.
