GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 774528
[PLUGIN-MOVE] geometrictransform, coloreffects, gaudieffects, smooth into a videofx gst-plugins-good plugin
Last modified: 2018-11-03 13:57:02 UTC
See summary, maybe want to merge some others into the same plugin too
AFAIK all the above are using the VideoFilter base class. So this proposal is mostly about gathering them all to be registered under the same plugin. Right?
The benefit of that would be to make it easier for end users to find video effects. The con would be for plugin developers to not have the above separated by implementation/dependency details.
If other people think this is worth it, it is something I am happy to take on. I was thinking recently I need to add more effects to the gaudi family, so this would be a nice incentive towards that.

And to move them all to -good
Moving them to good? You just convinced me.
I am busy this week, but can get around to start with this on Saturday. Assigning it to myself.
Luis: plugins should be moved with history, please don't just copy code over to -good and commit.
Yes, and the -good checklist including tests and documentation. I will propose patches here to get things ready.
Resetting to the default assignee because there does not seem to be any progress here
