Description Brian 2016-11-13 19:39:11 UTC
Downstream gtksourceview bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=774303

gvfs version: 1.28.2-1ubuntu2

I was told this was probably a gvfs bug, so here goes:

I have a symlink (/home/mscdex/sftp_mounts/) that points to /run/user/1000/gvfs/ for convenience. However, when I try to save a file (in meld in my case) to an sftp mount using that symlink, I get an error:

g-io-error-quark: Error opening file '/home/mscdex/sftp_mounts/sftp:host=somehost/path/to/file/being/saved': Operation not supported (15)

If I instead open meld with the direct /run/user/1000/gvfs/... paths, then it works just fine. I should also note that the command line gvfs-save program works just fine with or without the symlink.
