There have been some fixes WRT vbr loading, please upgrade
to GIMP 2.8.18 and report back. If it still crashes, please
attach one of the crashing brush files to this bug.

i use the last release version "gimp 2.8.18" from the oficial web site 

i thought that all the vbr brushes cause the crash of Gimp

but when i tested them "one by one" i found out that only the folowing brushes cause the crash:

You're seeing bug 760137. Doesn't have anything to do with the brushes per se, but they are the first thing that can trigger this when GIMP starts up.
