GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 773658
some Ctrl shortcuts are not working
Last modified: 2016-12-12 13:19:53 UTC
The detach shortcut (Ctrl+D) is not working: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/geary-list/2016-September/msg00069.html Also the search next (Ctrl+G) and previous (Shift+Ctrl+G) in a conversation is not working: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/geary-list/2016-October/msg00056.html Other Ctrl shortcuts are working fine, e.g. Ctrl+W to close the composer window.
Yeah, Ctrl+U isn't working for me either. CC'ing Niels for an opinion, do you think these shortcuts could have been affected by the recent composer changes?
NB: Search next/prev not working is a known issue however - it wasn't worth doing a lot of work for Bug 765516 which would then need to change with the WebKit2 port. I am aiming to bring that functionality back however.
Created attachment 341623 [details] [review] [Patch] Fixing the Detach-hotkey not working. Patch attached should fix the detach-hotkey (<Ctrl>d) not working. Apparently I simply forgot to copy it from the list of GtkActions in the Glade file (worse is the time it took me figure that out).
Fix for the detach shortcut landed as commit 0ea634c. Michael: would you like to keep this bug open for the other shortcuts, or would you to like to handle those in bug 728002?
Thanks Niels. With the exception of search next/search previous (which will be taken care of bt the WK2 port) if the rest of them are working, then yep, this can probably be closed.
Ok then, since it's listed in the todo there, I guess we can set this one as resolved.
