Description Federico Bruni 2016-10-29 05:12:52 UTC
The detach shortcut (Ctrl+D) is not working:
https://mail.gnome.org/archives/geary-list/2016-September/msg00069.html

Also the search next (Ctrl+G) and previous (Shift+Ctrl+G) in a conversation is not working:
https://mail.gnome.org/archives/geary-list/2016-October/msg00056.html

Other Ctrl shortcuts are working fine, e.g. Ctrl+W to close the composer window.
Comment 1 Michael Gratton 2016-11-15 12:39:46 UTC
Yeah, Ctrl+U isn't working for me either.

CC'ing Niels for an opinion, do you think these shortcuts could have been affected by the recent composer changes?
Comment 2 Michael Gratton 2016-11-15 12:41:53 UTC
NB: Search next/prev not working is a known issue however - it wasn't worth doing a lot of work for Bug 765516 which would then need to change with the WebKit2 port. I am aiming to bring that functionality back however.

[Patch] Fixing the Detach-hotkey not working.

Patch attached should fix the detach-hotkey (<Ctrl>d) not working.

Apparently I simply forgot to copy it from the list of GtkActions in the Glade file (worse is the time it took me figure that out).
Comment 4 Niels De Graef 2016-12-12 11:27:23 UTC
Fix for the detach shortcut landed as commit 0ea634c.

Michael: would you like to keep this bug open for the other shortcuts, or would you to like to handle those in bug 728002?
Comment 5 Michael Gratton 2016-12-12 13:09:34 UTC
Thanks Niels. With the exception of search next/search previous (which will be taken care of bt the WK2 port) if the rest of them are working, then yep, this can probably be closed.
Comment 6 Niels De Graef 2016-12-12 13:19:53 UTC
Ok then, since it's listed in the todo there, I guess we can set this one as resolved.
