Dear Sir/Madam,

After installing GIMP it says in the windows installer something like
"Voor gratis bijwerkingen ga naar: https://www.gimp.org/"

I hope i don't get any side-effects by visiting https://www.gimp.org/

If that would be the case I would be mistaking, 
otherwise updates would mean "updates" instead of "bijwerkingen".

Geachte Heer/Mevrouw,

Na het installeren van GIMP met de windows installer kreeg ik de melding om voor gratis bijwerkingen naar https://www.gimp.org/ te gaan. 

Bijwerkingen zijn ongewenste of onbedoelde effecten die optreden bij een medische behandeling. 

Tenzij dit wel zo is, bedoelen jullie waarschijnlijk "updates" in plaats van "bijwerkingen".

Beste Laurens,

Bedankt voor je melding. Je hebt helemaal gelijk dat bijwerkingen niet het juiste woord is.

Ik kan het woord ‘bijwerkingen’ echter in geen van de vertaal-onderdelen van Gnome vinden. Ik neem aan dat de Windows-installer niet bij Gnome vertaald wordt (we vertalen alleen dingen die minimaal werken op Unix-achtige systemen zoals GNU/Linux). Waar die wel vertaald wordt weet ik helaas niet.

De vertaling staat in:
gimp/build/windows/installer/lang/nl.setup.isl:Billboard2=voor gratis bijwerkingen.

Gevonden met:

rgrep "bijwerkingen"

Beste Laurens, Roland en Justin,
Allen bedankt voor deze melding en reacties hierop. Bij Gnome kiezen we voor update(s) als het om het zelfstandig naamwoord gaat. Het werkwoord wordt vertaald naar "bijwerken". Als het nog niet verbeterd is zal ik het alsnog doen.
Daarnaast zal ik gimp 2.8 samenvoegen met de master, zie
