Description Satish Hegde 2002-04-02 05:33:53 UTC
Gtkvts (Latest version checked out from CVS on 04/01/2002) was initiated
on Solaris 9 (Sparc-32bit) with Gnome 2.0 (latest) installed. It was found
that GTKVTS tests were still running even after 8 hrs due to GtkDialog
functionality test hang. Given below is the process identification for
GtkDialog test.

bash-2.05$ ps -ef | grep gtkvts
   hegde 18760 5956 0 01:07:49 pts/7
0:01 /home1/hegde/tet/gtkvts/tet_tmp_d
ir/05956aa/tests/functions/GtkDialog/GtkDialog
   hegde 5956 1325 0 23:44:53 pts/7 0:05 tcc -bec gtkvts
   hegde 19082 1153 0 10:38:43 pts/9 0:00 grep gtkvts

The tests were resumed execution after killing GtkDialog test process.
Comment 1 Luis Villa 2002-04-09 19:06:07 UTC
So what is the expected behavior/solution, then?
Comment 2 Vitaly Tishkov 2002-04-10 12:35:07 UTC
Looks like a bug in robot or visualization mechanism.
I've disabled the tests which probably hang.
Please try to run the tests again and email me if they hang now.
Comment 3 Vitaly Tishkov 2002-04-24 14:51:48 UTC
The bug is fixed under RedHat linux.
Could you please update your workspace and try to run the tests under
Solaris again?
Comment 4 Satish Hegde 2002-05-23 04:36:46 UTC
GtkDialog tests were successfull (25 tests passed) on Solaris 8 and 9
and Linux platforms. This result was observed on latest gtkvts
sources run on Solaris/Linux platforms running Gnome 2.0 (source tag
May 14th 2002). Hence, closing this mailbug.
