GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 772971
[bug] zoom-in doesn't work
Last modified: 2019-03-23 20:34:31 UTC
I'm on Arch Linux x86_64 I've recently updated GNOME to 3.22 I've enabled zoom plugin With latest version of gedit and its plugins (gedit 3.22.0+4+g2c70ccb-1, gedit-plugins 3.22.0-1) zoom doesn't work properly: I can only zoom out (reduce the font size); this means that if I press CTRL+- (or using the menu button...), gedit zooms out (that's ok!); but even if I press CTRL++ (or using the menu button...), gedit zooms out (that's not ok!); also resetting to the normal font size it's wrong because gedit zooms out to the most little font size available Let me know if you need more information
I can confirm this on Fedora 25 with Gnome 3.22.
Zoom was dropped from Gedit after the redesign, so this bug isn't relevant any longer. Its function was obsoleted by the 'textsize' plugin, which probably is broken on new GTK+3 releases anyway (I'll put it on the RoadMap).
Closing as the function no longer exists in gedit. Thanks for reporting this bug anyway.
where can I report the bug, since this affect the "text size" plugin ?
Today surprisingly I have found gedit zoom-in and zoom-out feature working. This is likely due to the new gtk3 version (3.22.27-1 -> 3.22.28-1). For the sake of completeness, gedit and gedit-plugins stuck on version 3.22.1+1+gd21912e3e-1 and 3.22.0+71+g926f06c-1.
