GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 772908
Xwayland XDND breaks on compositor grabs
Last modified: 2021-07-05 13:47:30 UTC
Initiating a XDND grab on Wayland and then invoking a compositor grab (overview mode, alt-tab, for example) breaks the XDND. Example reproduction steps: 1. Open two firefox (on X11) windows, one with at least two tabs 2. Start dragging one of the tabs of the window with two tabs 3. Alt-tab to the other firefox window Expected: It should be continue the drag, dropping the tab on the other firefox window Result: The drag is broken and it is not possible to complete the tab move.
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
