GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 771990
some top-level domains redirect to search engine
Last modified: 2016-09-26 17:29:32 UTC
On Fedora 22 Epiphany redirects me to the search engine when typing somedomain.au in the address bar, while somedomain.com gives no problem. I don't know if this exists in newer versions, or for other TLDs. Maybe someone can test it in a newer version.
The proper fix is to use DNS for this, so I'll mark this as a dup of bug #757248, but libsoup 2.56 has an updated list of TLDs and that now contains au, so this specific instance of the problem (au) is already fixed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 757248 ***
