Description Maurizio Loreti 2016-09-26 01:30:23 UTC
I leave constantly opened the GIMP "Undo History" window, hat shows the last operations performed on an image. When I save the image I am working on, I would like to see something in this list of the operations showing exactly which version in the "Undo History" has been saved; maybe a single "*" on the right of the name of the operation: e.g. seeing "Levels *" I know that right after the "Levels" step I saved the image I am working on.

Maybe a "*" when the image was saved and a "+" when the image was exported may be useful too.

TIA - M.

This is the start of an interesting idea. Some issues I see is that there is no guarantee that a saved or exported files isn't modified elsewhere, and that there is no way to select an undo step and choose a save or export this state again".

Once we have the latter, marking previously saved and exported states and providing more information - like when the action has been done, and where to - will become necessary, in my opinion.

Setting to milestone future for now.
