GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 771944
Fullscreen does not cover entire screen
Last modified: 2016-09-26 15:25:32 UTC
Created attachment 336214 [details] Epiphany fullscreen wayland As you can see in the screenshot. The top bar disappears and shows the wallpaper but epiphany doesn't cover that portion of the screen. Details: - Fedora 25 - gnome-shell, mutter, epiphany 3.22 - webkitgtk+ 2.14 - Graphics card driver: radeon
Does this occur when you run with WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 in the environment?
I can't reproduce that locally. Did you try other applications, do they work? Can you try downgrading webkitgtk? I believe Fedora 25 has downgraded to 2.13.92, so you can use that to try it out. Something else you could do is use the gnome shell looking glass to see what the uncovered area is reported as: go fullscreen, hit Alt + F2, type 'lg'. At the top of the console that appears there's a picker icon, click that and place the mouse over the area not covered. What does it say it is? You can take a screenshot there.
I managed to reproduce it! It is the same issue as the one that causes the black border when shrinking the window and is fixed by the same patch. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 771553 ***
