Description erusan 2016-09-22 03:25:32 UTC
I have an encrypted 7zip archive. The new (in 3.22) built-in archive handler, when choosing "Extract here," gives an error message saying it is an "empty archive."

The archive is not empty. File Roller handles it just fine.

Please add ability to handle encrypted archives, or else add a useful error message.

Razvan, was not this handled by the password protected handling you did?

Thanks for reporting this! Apparently the underlying archive library (libarchive) has a weird behavior when the archive's header is also encrypted, but I found a way to work around it. Once my fix is applied, nautilus should open your file in an archive manager.
