GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 771319
Widget map is cut off leaving a white bar
Last modified: 2018-05-22 13:01:34 UTC
Created attachment 335394 [details] A screenshot of gnome-contacts After an update to libchamplain-0.12.14, I noticed that the map has a white border inside gnome-contacts at its bottom. See attached screenshot Additional info: I'm not 100% sure this is an issue in libchamplain. It could also be an issue within gnome-contacts. Please reassign if you think so because you probably know better ;)
Similarly to #771320 this looks more like wayland or clutter bug to me. If you can build from sources, could you try if you get the same when you build 0.12.13?

I downgraded (running Fedora 24) and I see the issue flashing for a short time, then when the "Mapquest direct tile access discontinued" tiles are shown, the white border is gone. Still, the legal text "data, imagery and map information provided by Mapquest" is not aligned to the bottom.

I can imagine this one could be on the libchamplain side in case the widget initialization order is different or signals are emitted in a different order with a Wayland backend. If I have time, I'll try to install Fedora with Wyland and check this.
