GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 770929
What does "Switch monitor" mean?
Last modified: 2016-09-12 17:47:17 UTC
src/backends/meta-input-settings.c has this translatable string "Switch monitor". Even reading the source code, I have a hard time figuring out what it means. Is it turning a screen of? Go from a screen to another (just like you switch VTs)? Something else? Please provide a translator comment, and maybe fix the string. https://wiki.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines/Use%20comments
This "Switch monitor" label is for the homonymous action available in drawing tablets (usually mapped to a single monitor at a time), where one tablet button can be assigned in order to move the tablet mapping through the several connected monitors. I'll add this comment to source code if you agree it's clear enough: /* TRANSLATORS: This string refers to an action, cycles drawing tablets' mapping through the available outputs */
That would be perfect. Thanks.
