Description Frédéric Parrenin 2016-09-05 10:24:37 UTC
In geary 0.11.1, I am not able to drag and drop one or several messages to a desired folder.
When I drag and drop a message to a folder, nothing happens.
Comment 1 André Klapper 2016-09-06 11:24:53 UTC
Is this under X or under Wayland?
Comment 2 Frédéric Parrenin 2016-09-06 12:14:55 UTC
This is under X (debian jessie).
Comment 3 Federico Bruni 2017-12-13 12:38:44 UTC
Dragging of more than one conversation/message is bug #736434. I can reproduce this bug, but dragging a single message works fine for me.

Frederic, can you double check with geary 0.12? Can you drag a single message to a folder now? Can you try more than a folder and see if there's any difference?

I'd suggest to run Geary with the -d option so you might get some useful information in the terminal.

Thanks

I tried again with geary-0.12 and it works with one message, but there is no animation when you move the pointer over the desired folder.

dragging conversation does not highlight destination folder

Yes, I confirm it.

It should highlight the folder where you are dropping the conversation.
Instead, as you can see on attached image, I drag a conversation to the Archive folder but the folder is not highlighted; instead it appears a green border below accounts list on the sidebar.

This is bad, because you don't have any visual confirmation that you are moving the message to the desired folder.

This will need to be fixed as part of the re-design.
