Add YaST as a default folder in gnome-shell overview (1.97 KB, patch)

Description Dominique Leuenberger 2016-08-31 10:35:25 UTC
YaST installs quite some .desktop files, as each admin module can be
launched directly or from the YaST main application.

In gnome-shell, All application view, this clutters the view. In this
case it is welcome to collect all the YaST modules inside a folder to
declutter the setup.

@Matthias: Richard tasked me to get your view on this, as the original code apparently originated from you.

I know the code is quite SUSE specific (as it's so far the only distro shipping YaST)

We hide empty folders in gnome-shell, right ? If yes, then I don't think there's a problem with adding this

to my knowledge yes - just wanted to test creating a new folder in gnome-software, but this crashes

I managed to verify and confirm this in a VM by removing all apps that I had show up in 'Sundry' - once the last app was removed, the folder disappeared from gnome-shell overview
