Description Axel Kittenberger 2016-08-30 11:30:39 UTC
When bluetooth is soft-disabled -- by sliding it to "off" -- the entry in the menu completely vanishes. It can be turned on again in 'settings', but not in the menu anymore. this is very counter intuative for the user.

I expect the bluetooth entry to behave the same as the Wifi entry. When disabled (but hardware is present) it is greyed out with the comment "off", so the user can click it and slide it to on again, without having to go via the settings application.

Do you use default GNOME session?
Comment 2 Axel Kittenberger 2016-09-02 11:30:29 UTC
AFAIK, Yes, Distro is Debian.
Comment 3 Alberts Muktupāvels 2016-09-02 11:35:56 UTC
Thanks! Default GNOME session uses gnome-shell not gnome-panel... You will need to wait for answer from GNOME Shell developers.

Assuming that the version number in the report is correct, this has been fixed in 3.20.
