perf top -p $PID_OF_NAUTILUS_SERVICE

Using gnome 3.20.2 on OpenSuse TW I've noticed that lately a process '/usr/bin/nautilus --gapplication-service' was taking 30% of the cpu usage.

The process runs for some time before ending (5 - 10 minutes), but it spawn again each time I use nautilus.

Any particular reason this should happen? As I am running on a ultrabook, battery live is really important.

Attached is a screenshoot of `perf top -p $PID`

I've noticed something similar on Fedora 24. Every so often, nautilus does something that performs a lot of disk activity and it really slows down my workstation.
