GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 770367
under wayland, resizing a gtk2 window causes black box shadows.
Last modified: 2016-09-01 08:50:21 UTC
Under gnome-shell wayland session, resizing a window of an application whose toolkit is not wayland compatible (for example, gimp or firefox), cause severe black box flickering. The black boxes that appear around the window while it is being resized are rather large too.
Do you know when this started? I went back to mutter 3.20 and could still see the issue. Have this ever worked as it should? Or is it maybe an Xwayland issue?
I have no idea when it started. Sorry. Gnome 3.20 was my first experimentation with wayland.
