Description jeanpatrick.guerrero@gmail.com (Account disabled) 2016-08-20 07:36:10 UTC
AutoLogin always starts a X session, even if Wayland has been selected in the gdm menu previously. gdm 3.20.1 on Arch.
Comment 1 Alexandre Franke 2016-11-24 13:36:07 UTC
I have a tablet with Fedora 25, GNOME 3.22, set to autologin. Wayland is enabled by default now and this issue doesn't happen for me. Can you confirm it is gone with 3.22?
Comment 2 jeanpatrick.guerrero@gmail.com (Account disabled) 2016-11-24 13:40:41 UTC
This issue only affect GNOME 3.20 and thus is obsolete now, see : https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=774306

On GNOME 3.22, the issue is exactly the other way around (can't get into X session with autologin).
Comment 3 Alexandre Franke 2016-11-24 14:28:58 UTC
Thanks, marking this as fixed then.
Comment 4 jeanpatrick.guerrero@gmail.com (Account disabled) 2016-11-24 14:41:57 UTC
It's not fixed in the 3.20 branch. Maybe there's an underlying bug that prevent you to get into the "GNOME's alternative sessions" (other than the default one) with autologin enabled.
Comment 5 André Klapper 2016-11-24 20:58:11 UTC
The 3.20 branch is not supported anymore.
