Description hi 2016-08-18 21:26:00 UTC
A lot more people are using programming fonts with ligatures, e.g. Fira Code, Monoid, Fixedsys Excelsior, etc., and it would be great if we could use them in VTE based terminals.

As it is now, some fonts - e.g. Hasklig - just prints the characters completely void of ligatures, which is fine, but most - e.g. Fira Code - either render strange looking ligatures or nothing at all.
