GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 770037
Weird behaviour when a composer is launched and app is running in background
Last modified: 2016-12-18 15:38:02 UTC
I am using Geary-0.11.1 from ppa in Ubuntu 16.04. I am experiencing weird compose window bug. How to reproduce: 1. Click "Compose Message" from unity launcher which basically runs "geary mailto:" 2. Close geary without deleting draft. (on Unity it only hides the window, geary keeps running on the backgroud) 3. Click ""Compose Message" again from Unity launcher. At this point geary opens the unsaved draft but toolbar seems messed up. And it duplicates detach window button (?) Does it open a second draft beside the old one ? Geary: 0.11.1.x Ubuntu 16.04 Unity 7.x
Same here. Fedora 24, Geary 0.11.1, Gnome 3.20
Thanks for the info, people. This is related to Bug 763961, but maybe more about what happens when the main window is closed and Geary remains running. I'll try to get a fix together for 0.11.2.
Bumping outstanding feature bugs to the next stable release.
Fix pushed to master commit 6a43bb3. Will cherry pick to geary-0.11 after it's been tested for it.
Fix ported to geary-0.11 and pushed as commit 059d5f3.
