Description Debarshi Ray 2016-08-14 22:14:10 UTC
When running the X session on a HiDpi laptop, the mouse cursor becomes tiny whenever I am hovering over the gnome-shell chrome (eg., top bar, menus). It is fine when it is over the wallpaper or over a gtk+ application.

The Wayland session doesn't suffer from this problem.

I have:
gnome-shell-3.20.3-3.fc24
mutter-3.20.3-1.fc24
gnome-settings-daemon-3.20.1-3.fc24

The scaling starts to work once I launch an application from the dash or the application chooser with the mouse. Merely toggling the gnome-shell overview doesn't fix it.

The "... with the mouse" part isn't so important. Launching an application with the keyboard (<super> + d f e e) fixes it too.
