I have found that on Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 with GNOME 3.20 if I go into the gnome-tweak-tool and change the GTK theme, even if I then change it back, the fonts go really strange when cursored over as shown in this screencast (when I switch it to Adwaita, though it is less noticeable, there is still a slight darkening in the font): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-tweak-tool/+bug/1610606/+attachment/4715729/+files/Strange_Font_Colour_Change_gnome-tweak-tool.mp4 Though seemingly a restart of the gnome-tweak-tool means that all is well, so I don't think just the themes are causing the trouble, probably something more with gnome-tweak-tool.

I initially reported this issue here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-tweak-tool/+bug/1610606 But thought I should also do so upstream.

I have now also tried this with the Arc GTK+ Theme so I don't think it's a problem with individual themes.
