Description Clemens 2016-08-05 23:59:24 UTC
In the previous version of gnome a press of my notebook on-button displays an dialog with three options: shut down, restart and cancel.

This behavios is changed. The opportunity is actived with a option in the gnome tweak tool:
Energy -> Behavior of the on botton: interactive.

This option was very pretty. Please reanimate this opportunity.

Can anyone confirm this behavior?

Regards
Clemens

PS: I use ubuntu Gnome 16.04.1 LTS.

If that option is activated, what is this report about? That it should be on by default? That the word "interactive" is confusing? Which behavior has changed and how?
Please provide separate:
* Steps to reproduce
* Expected behavior
* Actual behavior
Thanks.
Comment 2 Clemens 2016-08-07 15:03:25 UTC
Hi,

Sorry, i will try again.

Previous behavior: (Gnome until 3.16)
In my tweak tool (German: "Optimierungswerkzeug") in the category "energy" the option "Behavior of the on button" is set on "interactive".

If i press the on button gnome display an dialog with three options: shut down, restart and cancel.

This behavior was super.

Since the upgrade of ubuntu (Gnome 3.18):

The selected option is unchanged in the tweak tools, but does not work. The notebook goes now in supend mode. :-(

Is this report exactly enough?

Thanks for your help...

Clemens

Isn't this fallout from bug 755953 ? The interactive option doesn't exist anymore.
