GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 769201
Add lyrics tag support
Last modified: 2021-05-26 09:51:58 UTC
It would be nice if I could view and edit embedded lyrics in my mp3 and ogg files with easytag. mp3 and ogg files allow lyrics to be stored as meta data tags in the files itself. MP3's ID3v2 has two tags: - unsynchronized lyrics - USLT tag - http://id3.org/id3v2.3.0#Unsychronised_lyrics.2Ftext_transcription - synchronized lyrics - SYLT tag - http://id3.org/id3v2.3.0#Synchronised_lyrics.2Ftext ogg/vorbis files may have a LYRICS tag containing unsynchronized text (as written by kid3, http://kid3.sourceforge.net/) ogg files may also have OggKate streams with lyrics, but that's probably out of scope here.
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new enhancement request ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/easytag/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
