Description Jonas Ådahl 2016-07-20 06:03:21 UTC
With multi framebuffer drawing, how to capture the screen becomes a implementation detail and gnome-shell et al should not be poking directly at cogl framebuffers etc. An API that enables capturing the screen and turning them into pixels should be added.

For reference, the following commit has landed: https://git.gnome.org/browse/mutter/commit/?id=ff6186f1ecd0f483754455b3096e774d4b28ad7e
Comment 2 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 13:43:36 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
