GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 768964
GParted Live CD will not prompt me to eject disc after shutting down.
Last modified: 2016-07-21 23:08:01 UTC
Bootloader: GRUB2 GParted Live does not prompt me to eject my disc after I shut down in the following way: I double-click the red "Exit" icon on the desktop. I choose the "Shut Down" option. This bug did not appear when I used the default bootloader that came with Windows 10.
Thanks for this bug report. The upstream live-tools fails. I have reported a patch to the upstream: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=831830 This issue will be fixed in the next GParted live release. Steven
Could you please give testing GParted live 0.26.1-3 a try? https://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/files/gparted-live-testing/ Please let us know the results. Thanks. Steven
Thank you Adrian for reporting this issue, and thank you Steven for developing a patch to address the issue. I have successfully tested gparted-live-0.26.1-3-i686.iso on a variety of computers and it correctly prompted to "remove the boot media and press enter". Thanks, Curtis
I thank the development team for fixing this bug. I just tested GParted Live 0.26.1-3. I was asked to eject the disc after shutting down.
Thanks for confirming that. Now GParted live 0.26.1-3 has been promoted to stable release. Steven
