GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 768376
please add additional option to select language (as we have for X11/Wayland)
Last modified: 2016-11-24 11:07:23 UTC
As it is possible to select wayland or X11 on login, could it be possible to select language ? Can you please add additional option to select language along with desktop environment ? Sometimes, you need to share your computer with users of different language (multilingual couples/family/groups) or just want to show Linux to someone who doesn't have the same language as you do. You can already do that with user settings, but it would be more convenient to do it before login. (you actually need to login, change language, quit, login again) Since Fedora 24, we laso have the concept of langpacks, it helps user to install every packages needed for a specific language. I think it would be even better if there is a way to highlight installed locales. Thanks for your help, I find some language selector references in ubuntu and gnome2, maybe this has already been talked about in the past. Sorry if I missed the information.
