The designs for the landing page have been updated, to be more visually engaging and give greater priority to the categories:

The general idea is to use more colour and a more interesting layout. As you can see from the wireframes, the categories are expected to expand and collapse:

I've done some cleanup and instead of expanding and collapsing went with a similar pattern we have in the initial setup. There's only expansion, and the category list fixed-ordered so that most interesting* categories are on top:

Audio/Video
Communication
Productivity
Games
Graphics/Photography
Add-ons
----[...]-----
Development Tools
Education
Science
Utilities
