All-day events (like birthdays or holidays) are displayed twice in the mini calendar view (in the top bar, when you click the watch (how is the official naming??))
They appear on their actual day and the next one. So whit Sunday was on the 15th and 16th, while whit monday was on the 16th and 17th.
Since gnome-calendar shows them correctly I assume it's not a syncing issue, but just displayed wrong.
