Description Niklas Vainio 2016-05-20 08:24:20 UTC
If a field has a long string as its value, part of the string goes outside the borders of the window. Text can be edited and the cursor can be moved outside the window with keyboard, meaning that edits cannot be seen anymore. The field should scroll instead.

There is a scroll bar in the bottom of the window, but that is not an optimal solution to this problem.

This is related to bug 650631 but that fixed a different problem.

Thanks for reporting bugs. What version are you using? If it’s 3.18 or less, it will not be fixed (well, not by me at least), as the UI has been greatly improved since then. If not, could you please attach a screenshot and tell me what exact version it is (see the “About” dialogue) and if it is on Xorg or Wayland (or other). Many thanks.

It's 3.18.2 (Ubuntu 16.04). Good to hear the UI has been improved.
