Description Alexander Larsson 2016-05-19 18:31:01 UTC
I'd like to set up the new flatpak.org domain to point to flatpak.github.io.
Here is the github pages description for this:

https://help.github.com/articles/setting-up-an-apex-domain/

Ideally an ANAME or ALIAS record, or if that doesn't work, an A record to the IPs listed above.

As per the description above i added a CNAME to the github pages repo (it says you have to do that before changing the dns), but that means the webpage at http://flatpak.github.io/ is not working atm due to the current redirect from flatpak.org to gnome.org.

If the sysadmins are busy atm and can't modify the dns record, can you please say so, so we can temporarily remove the CNAME file while we're working on the webpage. Then we can add it back when we're ready to change the DNS.

Actually, i found out we can preview the current webpage at:

https://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak.github.io/blob/master/index.html

So, no need to revert the CNAME file right now.
