Description Fabiana Simões 2016-05-15 20:44:06 UTC
I'm unable to tile GNOME calendar to the right or left, using Super + Right / Left Arrow. I can maximize it using Super + Up Arrow, and also the opposite with Super + Down Arrow.

Steps to reproduce:

- Open GNOME Calendar
- Hit Super + Right or Left Arrow. Nothing will happen.
- Hit Super + Up or Down Arrow. The application will be maximize or unmaximized, as expected.

I can do this just fine. Can you test with the latest stable release 3.20.2? And also what is the resolution of the screen you test this on?
Comment 2 Andreas Nilsson 2016-05-16 14:49:57 UTC
I tried to duplicate this on 3.20.1, but was unable to do so.
Using the screen resolution 1920x1080.
Comment 3 Georges Basile Stavracas Neto 2016-05-16 14:59:26 UTC
This is an issue with Year View. The problem is that it doesn't support any other layout other than 4 columns x 3 rows. Isaque is working on that and we already have a working prototype.
Comment 4 Fabiana Simões 2016-05-16 19:48:36 UTC
I'm unable to try 3.20, sorry. FTR, I have the issue in the Month View as well. Resolution is 1920x1080.
Comment 5 Marinus Schraal 2016-05-17 08:06:20 UTC
I have the same resolution, but on closer inspection the tiled window is too big (larger than 1/2 the screen). But 3.20 let's you tile it anyway (maybe wayland only?) and just bigger than the left-half of the screen (tiled left) or doesn't show a sliver of the right-side of the window (tiled right).

This is both month & year view.

Problem is of course that the minimal size of the window is larger than these constraints given by the WM + screen resolution. As said the new tiling year-view code should help there, as for the month view it needs another look.

The question of course is, what is the minimum size of window calendar wants to support.
Comment 6 Isaque Galdino 2016-05-17 11:03:12 UTC
With the recent changes I could tile it in both month and year views.
