Description Walter Garcia-Fontes 2016-05-06 16:09:36 UTC
If gnome-software is started in the background at start-up, the mouse is stuck and the cursor cannot be moved, for the following hardware:

ID 15d9:0a4c Trust International B.V. USB+PS/2 Optical Mouse

If /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-software-service.desktop is removed and the system restarted, the mouse starts working.

This isn't a gnome-software problem; it could be caused by fwupd probing the system at gnome-software startup, but the root problem is a kernel issue IMHO.

I have recently upgrades two systems. On a laptop system this problem does not occur, on my desk top system it does. On my desktop it caused loss of cursor during login until I removed from autostart, now cursor freezes if I start gnome-software. Is there a way to disable fwupd to test the hypothesis that this is the cause?
