Last modified: 2016-05-03 15:26:27 UTC
Created attachment 326985 [details] [review] patch for de.po file Description: Home Folder is not translated Steps to reproduce: 1) start nautilus in a de_DE env. 2) home folder is named "Home", instead of "Persönlicher Ordner" journalctl: nautilus-autostart.desktop[2377]: (nautilus:2377): GLib-GIO-WARNING **: Failed to parse translated string 'Persönlicher Ordner' for key 'home-icon-name' in schema 'org.gnome.nautilus.desktop': 0-1:unknown keyword Attached patch fixes this for DE lang, but there may be additional languages, where this hits. (grep -A 1 "'Home'" po/*)
Thanks for your report and patch! However contributing to documentation doesn't happen here. Can you check https://wiki.gnome.org/Newcomers the Documentation section? Indeed it looks like a bug.
This is not about documentation but about translation. => product=L10N
(In reply to André Klapper from comment #2) > This is not about documentation but about translation. => product=L10N Whops, right, brainfuck. Anyway, just saw Piotr Drag fixed it (thanks) https://git.gnome.org/browse/nautilus/commit/?id=080d1cf
Thank you for the patch, but I've pushed a fix for every language affected: https://git.gnome.org/browse/nautilus/commit/?id=cd0e45fd819d6bbdf248e23918a2d167c3315db1 The folders should be translated from 3.20.1 onwards.
