Image showing "Documents" still works, but "Photos" is missing

Until recently it was possible to access the photos on the iphone. Now it will only show "Documents" (see attached image).

I'm using iOS 9.3.1

That's expected:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=749639

The gphoto2 backend is supposed to mount the photos though. What's the output of "gvfs-mount -li" with the device plugged in?

Similar bug report has been recently filed downstream, see:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=765415

Can't this be because old volume monitors are still running after the update? Is the bug reproducible after the computer restart? Is gvfs-gphoto2 package installed?

Comment 5 Christoph Brill 2016-04-26 09:15:26 UTC
After installing gvfs-photo2 the device shows up "iPhone" and lists the Photos. Sadly copying them is still not possible (see #765584).

Resolving this, as it is not actually a bug, but an intended change in behavior.
