Description Paul Smedley 2016-04-21 22:18:31 UTC
When using drag and drop to move/copy files around from the thumbnail view to the folder pane, only Move is available.

Default action with only drag and drop is to 'Move'

Pressing the Alt key changes the icon to have a ? symbol, and after releasing the mouse button, a dialog comes up to prompt the user on what action that want to take - Copy, Move or Link. However, Copy and Link are greyed out and unavailable

This occurs with both 3.4.1 as installed by Ubuntu 16.04; or with 3.4.3 as installed from a PPA.

Can confirm for 3.6.0 compiled from source on Ubuntu 16.04.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all
old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen
updates for a long time.

If you still use gthumb and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a
recent and currently supported version, then please feel free to report it at
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gthumb/-/issues/
by following the guidelines at
https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines

Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented
so far (volunteer workforce and time is limited).
