Description Jan Peter 2016-04-12 20:12:00 UTC
I have a network scanner (Kyocera Ecosys M6526cdn) that has a TWAIN driver.
The operating system is Windows 10 Pro (64 bit).

GIMP 2.8.16 does not detect the scanner in the File - Create - Scanner/Camera dialog. The list only contains some other devices that are directly connected, e.g. by USB. So it is not possible to use the Kyocera Ecosys M6526cdn network scanning functions from GIMP 2.8.16.

In GIMP 2.8.14 (Installer gimp-2.8.14-setup-1.exe) the File - Create - Scanner/Camera dialog contains the Kyocera network scanner and it is functional.

So a change between GIMP 2.8.14 and GIMP 2.8.16 must cause the problem.

Thanks. The TWAIN plug-in is so horribly broken, we don't keep
individual bugs for the individual aspects of its shittiness.
