GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 764672
No cancel button when installing an app
Last modified: 2016-07-12 11:28:33 UTC
Currently there’s no way to cancel an app that’s being installed. On a decent connection, installing an xdg-app can take already a while so we should assume that in slow, unreliable connections, the time taken for installing an app can be very long. Thus there should be a way for the user to cancel an app that is being installed. This will also offer a way to fix the problem of a user clicking “install” by accident (as there’s no confirmation step).
Bug 763651 is related - we should probably treat the install/remove/launch buttons, along with cancel and install progress, as a single unit.
