bug after repeated scrolling

The underlining Nautilus displays for the filename currently under the mouse cursor is not removed when one scrolls (with the mouse wheel, at least). Ie:

1. Go in a folder with enough files to exceed the window's capacity
2. Put your cursor over a file and don't again move until scrolled
3. Scroll with the mouse wheel

There's a similar issue with icon view: The highlight emphasis does not move accordingly with mouse scroll, but it won't accumulate (see screenshot) as in list view.

Dunno if it's a gtk3 bug, either way I'm using the recent git versions of both.

It's worth mentionning that to reproduce this bug you need to be in single click mode which can be changed in Preferences → Behaviour.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2021-06-18 15:49:21 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version of Files (nautilus), then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
