I'm currently running the GParted Live CD. Netsurf ends with en error when trying to open https page. Same with the wget in CMD line.
=====
Error setting certificate verify locations
CAfile: /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
CApath: /etc/ssl/certs

PROBLEM: file /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt is missing
FIX: just copy this file from another distro

Hi,

Got the same issue too.

Workaround :

When connected to the internet, enter following command in a terminal :

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ca-certificates

and voila :)

Should be good if the package ca-certificates is already packaged with the iso, that will fix this once for all.

Also in the same time, if you can update netsurf to version 3.5 :)

hegyre

Thank you hegyre for posting a work-around.

The next release of GParted Live will include ca-certificates. Currently a testing release is available in the testing directory of the GParted download page.

Curtis

The ca-certificate package is now included in the GParted Live 0.26.0-1 image.

I have confirmed that the netsurf web browser can now successfully visit https sites, such as https://google.ca .
