The current buggy rendering of the Hindi text

gnome-terminal does not render Indian languages properly.

See the attachment, the text echo-ed is "मेरा नाम निसर्ग है।"

It is extremely difficult to use or work with Indian Languages because of this.

My current version of gnome-terminal is `3.6.2`.

I'm happy to provide more information and even work on it, if someone can mentor me (new here!).

Please do try to follow the bug reporting guidelines [https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Terminal/ReportingBugs], in this case searching for existing bugs _first_.
