I am running Ubuntu GNOME 15.10 with GNOME 3.18, though this issue does not appear to be present on Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 with GNOME 3.18.

The issue is that when I right-click on an image in gnome-photos some images disappear and then it acts all very strange, it doesn't even allow me to close it because the window-control buttons are gone so I either have to close it through the Activities Overview or through another means. I have attached a screencast of what I mean (when my mouse goes over one of the images at the beginning and they all disappear that is when I right-click).

This makes gnome-photos completely unusable though because even when left-clicking after doing the fatal right-click it doesn't work as it should, or really do anything but make the image I clicked on temporarily disappear...

I have also attached the Terminal output.

I initially report this issue here but thought I should also do so upstream: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1559527

There seem to be some issue also uploading the log file, so you will have to get it from here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1559527/+attachment/4604683/+files/outputfile

WARNINGs like these make me think that there is some mismatch between the theme that you are using (ie. numix), the gtk+ version and gnome-photos:

(gnome-photos:16574): Gtk-WARNING **: drawing failure for widget 'GdMainIconView': invalid matrix (not invertible)

(gnome-photos:16574): Gtk-WARNING **: drawing failure for widget 'GdMainView': invalid matrix (not invertible)

Do you see similar issues in other similar applications? How about gnome-documents? What if you use the Adwaita theme?

Ubuntu 15.10 shipped with GNOME 3.16, not GNOME 3.18. Mixing and matching OS components from different versions that were not meant to work together is not supported.

Going to close this as NOTGNOME.

Ah, actually it seems to be an issue with Numix because I don't get it with Adwaita... But I do get it on Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 with GNOME 3.18 when I switch to Numix so that is a version where those versions are meant to work with each other...
